Collect Pop Tabs

A small piece of metal can make a big difference! At the Ronald McDonald House, aluminum can tabs are collected and exchanged for cash from our local recycling company. Thanks to kindhearted school kids, businesses, clubs, churches, and families, millions of pop tabs have been donated since the program began. Their on-going efforts continue to generate much-needed revenue for the House.

How to Get Started

It’s simple! Pop the tabs from your aluminum cans - soup cans, pet food cans, tennis ball containers, or soda cans - and save them in a container. Encourage your friends and family to participate by placing your collection container in a central location at home, work or school. You can let us know you're involved in the tab program by registering here.

When your container is full, you can drop off your pop tabs at the Ronald McDonald House any day of the week between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Or, have the pop tabs (or the entire can) recycled in your community and mail the check, payable to RMHC of Mid-Missouri, to:

When mailing your donation, please include your contact information so we may acknowledge your gift. If you or your group would like a tour when you drop off your tabs, please contact us to arrange a date and time.

Pop Tab Houses

The Ronald McDonald House has small, reusable pop tab collector houses available. Program participants may request up to 3 free houses and each additional house is 25 cents. Each house can hold approximately 700 tabs.
