We're Building a New House to Call Home!
With advancing medical technologies and increasing medical availability in our community, we continue to see an increase in demand for the Ronald McDonald House. The new House will allow us to serve more families and help make their personal situation a little more bearable. Our goal is to lessen the families’ burden and ensure their children have access to quality medical care.
One of the most important aspects of the Ronald McDonald House to families who stay with us is that the facility be in close proximity to where their child is being treated. With the relocation by the University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the location of the existing House has created an additional hardship for many families – they need to be within walking distance to where their child is recovering. This, coupled with an aging facility that is not ADA compliant, is why we’re building a new House to call Home.
