Guest Resources
To be eligible to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, you must be a parent/legal guardian of a child 21 years of age or younger who is being treated at a Columbia area hospital. First-time guests must be referred to the House by a local hospital or clinic social worker. Your social worker will talk to you about the House and find out more about your situation to make sure it is a good fit for you. Returning families may call the House directly to be put on the list for a room.
Families must arrive by 8 p.m. to check into the Ronald McDonald House and all adults must present a photo ID upon arrival. Guests will be given a brief tour of the House and amenities available. Because no guaranteed reservations can be made, you will need to call the morning of your arrival to find out if there is a room available for you. If one is not available, we will keep you on a wait list and contact you as soon as a room becomes available.
We are not a hotel - rather, we offer a communal living environment in which all guests share responsibility for keeping our home safe, clean, and operating smoothly. The House welcomes families regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender, or abilities.
