The red carpet is rolled out, the paparazzi’s cameras are charged, and the stars are aligned; it’s the 2013 Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Gala, Hollywood Style! Come dressed like it’s your big movie premiere, red shoes a plus, and bring your entourage for a fun-filled night of silent and live auctions, games, dinner and entertainment. The cameras begin rolling at 6pm with dinner being served at 7pm. We’ve replaced champagne with signature drinks that will have to be consumed before the sun comes up. The event will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the newly renovated Parkade Center on the Business Loop. Q: What do I wear to the Red Shoe Gala?
A: Think movie premier over the Oscars. Remember the paparazzi is going to be taking pictures all night, so you want to look your best, but couture gowns are not necessary (but always in style). And if you happen to have some red high heels, don’t worry, they’ll look great against the red carpet!

Q: Who do I invite to sit at my table?
A: Your entourage of course! Bring your agent, publicist; make up artist and body guard. If they’re not available though, feel free to bring family, friends, or clients; whoever you want to spend a night in Hollywood with.

Q: Will there be a cash bar?
A: There can’t be a red carpet event without a cash bar! Signature drinks will be passed around that must be consumed before the night wraps. If you’re feeling extra indulgent, bottles of wine can be ordered the night of for your table. Remember, you don’t want your entourage to get thirsty!

Q: What time does it start?
A: Cameras start flashing at 6pm when the silent auction, games, and entertainment begin. Dinner will be served at 7pm then a live auction. Fashionably late is not in this season because you don’t want to miss your red carpet entrance!

Q: How does the silent auction work?
A: We’ve made it faster than saying lights, camera, action. Bring your cell phone to bid through text messaging and you’ll be alerted every time someone out bids you. If a phone clashes with your outfit, don’t fret, we’ll have attendants stationed around with cell phones to assist in your bidding needs.

Q: How will the tables be set up for dinner?
A: Tables will seat 8. Sponsored tables, or VIP, will receive a bottle of wine. If you’re a superstar and are a bronze, silver, or gold sponsor, you will receive two bottles of wine. Spend like a movie star and sponsor; it’s for a good cause after all.
